The Weight of the Circle

The Weight of the Circle

Even those who leave the old world behind may still carry its shadows within them. We left it on fire, but its flames still spread like an unattended wildfire, burning to ashes everything that it touches.

A leader is born out of those ashes. He knows how to work with fire. He is a phoenix rising through the trials of destruction and renewal, never fully complete, but always in the process of becoming. He is not crowned by title, but by the circle of people around the fire, where trust is earned, not declared, and the heat of shared experience forges the strength to lead.

Mistakes are not a sin to shame ourselves upon, but a call for growth. We fall so we may rise, each time stronger, each time wiser, each time more whole.

Without accountability, trust fades. Without trust, the circle fades. And without the circle, we are left adrift, seeking what we have lost. Grasping for order where there is none, mistaking control for safety, systems for purpose, and ideologies for belonging.

We must be accountable in good faith, knowing that everyone in the circle will do the same. This circle where we can all see each other. Where all voices are honoured. We must come with clean hands so that we may gain one another's trust.

Let us choose the harder road. Let us be worthy of the new world we seek to build.
