A Check-In
Hey friends.
I wanted to do a small check-in.
From time to time I deactivate my social media as a kind of purification — stepping back to recalibrate what energies I'm in relationship with. When I disappear, a few people sometimes assume they've been blocked. I haven't blocked anyone.
I've simply been moving through changes — in who I connect with, what conversations I participate in, and what dynamics I allow into my nervous system and my life.
When I was last active here, I was processing a recent breakup and exploring some uncomfortable but important terrain: emotional over-giving, empath–narcissist dynamics, and what it feels like to be used while still loving deeply. I knew I was risking being seen as weak in order to stay honest — and interestingly, many people I bumped into in person honoured me and expressed appreciation for what I was sharing. It became clear that this is a wider conversation, and that speaking to it openly was illuminating and needed.
Recently, however, a comment was made on one of my posts that crossed a line — involving false accusations and a misrepresentation of both my character and a past situation. I disengaged immediately and documented it.
I want to be clear: I have never abused anyone, nor acted predatory. I've consistently acted from care, presence, and a commitment to de-escalation — often supporting others through panic, distress, and overwhelm using grounding, breath, and nervous-system regulation rather than control or force.
I also want to name something important for all of us — especially in spiritual or alternative communities:
False narratives cause real harm. When accusations are made casually or unconsciously, they don't just damage reputations — they destabilise trust, fragment community, and can put people in genuine danger.
There is a sacred protective instinct in healthy masculinity. When men sense a woman has been harmed, something ancient rises in them — not domination, but protection. That energy deserves respect, not misuse.
I believe deeply that we are meant to meet one another in circles — not behind walls, not through projection, and not through silence born of fear.
I'm not claiming perfection. I've made mistakes. I still do. But I reflect, I take responsibility, I do my shadow work, and I repair where repair is needed. Integrity isn't about being flawless — it's about being accountable and present.
This chapter for me is about discernment, boundaries, and staying aligned with truth — even when it's uncomfortable.
With respect.
