The Savage Rocks of Eternal Mind

I open my eyes. I find myself in a grassy field. Everything has grown since I was last here. It's rained a lot. The trees are browning. It is breezy and mixed with the bird songs, the breeze sweeps through my surrounding atmosphere. I hear sheep in the background. I can see the Tor at my eight aclock.

It's nice to feel held in the embrace of Mother Nature.

I close my eyes and allow my awareness to drift inward. Feelings of grief capture my heart. A rain cloud immersing my chest. I look up to see the horses dashing across the fields. This warms me.

I feel very alone in my journey. Sometimes I feel like I am galaxies apart from those most dear to me.

A dear friend used to remind me to trust in my life force. To trust in the body's intelligence. To surrender to the universe. She would say 'trust, surrender, flow... You are always taken care of.' On so many occasions I've found myself being pushed through turbulence and torment.

I often find myself frantically and endlessly trying to rationalise my experience to give me a sense of security during these uncertain times.

I've always struggled coming to terms with reality. Meeting reality on realities terms. I've always tried to seek out comfort because of how much the truth hurts.

A poem comes to mind:

"The Savage Rocks of Eternal Mind

Seizing my life in your hands, you thrashed it clean on the savage rocks of Eternal Mind.

How its colours bled, until they grew white! You smile and sit back; I dry in your sun."
