Void Ahead

The night is ushered in and it greets me, welcomes me.
I feel embraced.
Here I rest pondering, at-easing my mind into a place of receptivity to the creativity.

Am I a victim of my own creation? Should I surrender my fate to the darkness within? Am I drowning? Should I fight against it to stay afloat?
What path do I choose? Is a deep truth within my midst waiting to be unveiled? Glowing treasure in the depth of the darkness?
Am I losing myself in stories as my hold on my centredness slips?

I choose to meet my fate, yet I do not know it's true face. I feel guided within me. This is the way. Yet I am riddled with doubts. I am blind to the way forth. But I know that it's in this vague kind of direction.

Am I being swallowed up by the Void within? Is that okay? So I take a blind step. I take another step. Darkness. Yet somehow I feel held in this journey.

Not ready to meet my mortality, I hold on to life as it fades away. Fear is on the rise. I am caught in a cobweb of terror which captures me. I attempt to wriggle out but only get more enmeshed in it. I am devoured and torn to shreds by my sins. My life force dwindles. Sirens are screaming. Alert alert! Void aheaaaaad! All manner of will power goes towards shifting the trajectory of this inner Titanic. But it seems we collided with the Void.

I can't help but worry about the day I have to embrace my own death. To think that every human being goes through this process of birth and death, and then gets caught up in such trivial pursuits in-between.

I have so many questions and no answers. Maybe I should surrender that to the void next time I tread down that road again.

But on with life first, eh?

Thank you for reading.
