Mirrors and Karma

We serve each other as being a mirror for the other. Sometimes people do not like what they see in their reflection. This shows they are not at a place on their journey where they are ready to face themselves yet.

So I ask, how does one continue to have compassion for bullies and tyrants while standing up for ones self when being harmed by them? How can I accept others for being the way they are while being beaten to the ground by them and kicked in the back of the skull? Simply due to a lack of communication, and a misperception of the other person's intentions.

Do I surrender to the wrath of someone else's sins, or do I pierce through my fears and learn to speak my truth with conviction and no attachment to outcome? No I do not consent to the way you are treating me. Perhaps it is about learning when is the right time and space to do so. If held at gun point, do I lecture them on the importance of compassion for the reunion of humanity? Maybe not.

When I speak my truth, and put up a boundary where necessary, with many people I attract into my life, I seem to be punished for it. I suppose that's the downside of speaking ones truth in an empire built upon lies.

This is my karma, and it is up to me to understand why I keep manifesting these cycles with people, and how I can shift my karma so that it is more aligned with my core values and intentions.

And so the journey continues..

Thank you for reading.
