Stepping Into Your Power
What’s stopping me?
I can’t string my charango otherwise I’ll break it even more and I’ll get angry. I can’t sing or play in front of anybody in case they disapprove of my authentic expression. I can’t tell her how I truly feel otherwise she will reject me and I will spiral into feelings of abandonment and worthlessness. I can’t put an advert out to promote my healing services because I’m not really a healer and I don’t really know what I’m doing in life.
Have you ever felt like you simply can’t? Like you wake up and you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders. Like everywhere you turn you’re met with a brick wall. You’re trying to figure out what’s happening and what you’re doing wrong. Why does this keep happening, you ask. Why, no matter how hard you try and you try, you always find yourself back to square 1?
Let me ask you though. Why can’t you step into your power?
Maybe because you had a rough past. You were taught to hide your vulnerabilities otherwise the kids would bully you and the teacher would shout at you. Your father beat you. Your mum emotionally abused you. You didn’t have any friends growing up. Nobody encouraged you to speak your truth and express your creativity. You weren’t loved. Nobody had your back.
If you are saying that anything or anybody outside of you and outside the present moment, such as the past or future, is the reason you think you can’t, then you my friend are walking the path of the victim.
The victim has no power by definition. He is a self fulfilling prophecy. He uses his traumas as an excuse to run and not take action where necessary in his life. It is a very treacherous life to live. Because he is not really living. He is just suffocating in delusions of his own creations. The victim goes to huge extents by creating inner critical narratives as to why he can’t. He keeps himself safe in the shadows of his can’t-ness. He disempowers himself from the get go. It is a vicious cycle. He takes pleasure in the attachment towards temporary delusions that momentarily seem to act in his favour, only to suffer when that too passes and he is unable to accept it as it perishes before his eyes.
Do you identify? You have to be honest. If you are in denial of your victimhood mentality then you will remain lost. This is YOUR life, and it is your responsibility and none others. Nobody can save you. You can only save yourself. Salvation is an inside job. The mind is an excellent servant but a terrible master. It can and will trick you by justifying your victimhood mentality if you do not own your mind and soul. You will feel triggered when people tell you that you are in the victim mode. You will righteously preach to them as to why you are not. You will say you’re trying real hard… pwomise, whilst distracting yourself by so-called figuring out how to step into your power while using the same intellectual mechanism you’re using to deeper intrench yourself into it.
Through childhood as a means of coping, and essentially survival he develops the tactic of utilising the brutalities of his surroundings by internalising them towards the setting of the blueprints of his cage to which he would spend the rest of his life constructing, residing within, and evermore hammering into place. He just wanted to protect himself against the wrath of this dis-eased and destructive species. This once pure and glorious child who thought he was being born into Green Pastures, only to be tainted by the discovery that we’re still yet to find Heaven on Earth. Many folk still disbelieve in its existence.
Now I do not and cannot know what you’ve been through in your past, what darkness you were plunged into as an infant, what battles you’ve had to face or what suffering and anguish you’ve endured. The truth is that nobody can know. Nobody can see through the eyes of your soul. But I do see your war scars, I see the pain in your eyes that you try so hard to hide from the world, and I see the cries and the screams that the child in you could never truly feel and express. From the bottom of my heart I am truly sorry for what you had to go through. That should never have happened to you. I grieve for you. But it’s time to let that shit go now and move on towards your empowerment. It’s time to cultivate courage where there is none. So pour your water, grab your purge bucket and let’s do the work together. Let the pain of your past come up to be seen from a heart-centred awareness. Let it burn so wildly like a bright bonfire inside of your soul that shines so bright like the morning star guiding you home at night. Be proud to be on this journey as I am of you. Express yourself uncensored. Channel your struggles, your pains and your sorrows into your craft. Howl from the depths of your pain for the moon to drink up. Dance with the anger as you march your powerful presence into the ground to receive. Take yourself off the leash and scream at the top of your voice as you are torn to pieces by the revelation of who you are. Let everything that is false burn away like wildfire. Be mindful of those surrounding you in these states so as not to freak people out or cause somebody to call the police on you. Don’t be a fool. Be smart. Do not pass your trauma onto someone else to deal with. Karma breads karma if you’re not mindful.
The ancestral traumas stop at you. You are special and gifted. So come out from the shadows where we can see your beautiful face. And join us, Humanity, as we rise together in interrelationship with one another, with this Earth, and with life itself.
Namaste
